Henschel Steamtruck

Both Abner and Warren were hired by Henschel und Sohn as consultants from 1931 to 1934 to help design and develop steamengines suitable for trucks, busses and railvehicles.

This is a picture I found about Henschel steambusses, it's a schematic drawing of the different parts of the steam engine develped by Henschel und Sohn and the Doble brothers.

This is a picture I found on the web during my searches. It's the second model what went into production.

The diaries and other documents of both can be found in The Bancroft Library; University of California, Berkeley. Because there are copyright-issues to be solved there are no pictures available.

I also found a private library in Europa which will be contacted for pictures and other info concerning this subject.

For leads, info or questions, don't hesitate to send me an e-mail. Everything is appreaciated at this moment.
